Okay so we want to drive more traffic to our website, correct? How? The simple answer is "keywords". That's correct. Keywords are the foundation of all we do on the Internet. Well, it's not all that we do but it is basically the foundation of how we tie everything together to dominate our Internet space. If you do not dominate your Internet space you are lost in the noise. Hey, that sounds like a great tagline maybe I should use it, haha!
Let me give a bit of a history lesson before we move further into what keywords are and can do for you. Most people put up a website and submit it to search engines. They falsely believe that in fact people will find them and they're going to develop lots of business because they have a website. This could not be further from the truth. With the plethora of websites and web properties coming on the web daily, there is no possibility for you to be seen without understanding how search engines work. Most people, even if they SEO their website with the keywords that they use for their industry, still have no hope of being found. Search engine optimization “SEO” has undergone a bit of revolution in its own right and what used to work several years ago does not today. So how do you determine what keywords you want to use to dominate your Internet space?

Your keyword research should be based upon real data. Yes that's correct, real data is required to determine both the number of daily searches on the Internet for your potential keywords but also the competition that uses those keywords. It will do you no good that they keywords that are extremely popular and go up against millions of webpages with those keywords in place. That is not a positive or a good strategy to embrace. So you see doing keyword research and finding the appropriate keywords is absolutely crucial to the success of your web space dominance. I use these tools to assist mean in not only, building websites in the beginning, but fine tuning the keywords on a month to month basis.
