In the old days we used to use our websites as somewhat of an online brochure.  But the times have changed!  Again quoting the fact that 82% of the people who look for anything start looking on the web first, this requires that you must dominate your Internet space.  Therefore, Internet Web site marketing is a crucial concept to embrace for any business today!  The Internet and marketing of your business must have a strategy that dovetails in with your brick-and-mortar business.  This strategy will determine your marketing positioning on the web and to some degree in the real world.  Your Web marketing strategy needs to embrace the new look of consumers today in this incredibly challenging economic environment.
One thing for certain is that if you you're not driving traffic into your website you can't sell anything to anybody.  You're number one consideration is how to drive traffic that is interested in your particular business endeavor.  It's no good to bring vegetarians to a website that sells prime beef.  So therefore just driving traffic by itself it is worthless or in some cases even hurtful.

You can drive traffic one of two ways.  One way is free and called organic traffic and the other one is paid traffic by using tools such as pay per click.  Since money is usually pretty tight these days, I tend to focus on natural or organic traffic.

Once you have traffic to your site you need to make sure and have a good analytics package tied to every page of your site.  This way you can start to optimize how you were potential customer moves through your site and particularly on to your conversion page.  You can also come up with a good analytics, determine the best way of building a conversion page "a sales page".  Internet Web site marketing is no accident.  There is an absolute specific set of requirements, almost like an equation, that must be present to not only drive traffic but also to convert that traffic into paying clients.  In short, success is no accident.
