Plans don't have to be a novel! However, they must to the job!
If you are going to attract investor capital into your company then you need a very good plan. It must be well written and professional. However, if you are just trying to get people on board with your company, then that is another kind of plan. Plus there is middle ground between these two positions, so its important to understand what your needs really are, prior to picking up a pen.
That all being said, the most important part of a business plan is to perform the "idiot" check to see if you have a real business or not. It should be able to assist you in telling if you can financially make it, if your product can really be built for a good price, and if some else has already done what you intend to do! Simple but true.. so don't skip this step! And that is where we can help you!
